Levels of recognition of quality

EQUASS offers two types of external audits leading to a recognition of the quality of services provided by a European Social service provider:

  • EQUASS Assurance
  • EQUASS Excellence

As of January 1st 2017, all external audits will be carried out according to the EQUASS 2018 quality system, updated to reflect the ever-evolving views of key actors of the social services sector in Europe.

In the year 2017, a year of transition for the EQUASS system, Applicants will have the choice between the 2012 and the 2018 as their system of choice.

 

EQUASS Assurance audits will continue to be offered through the main office in Brussels and its various Local Licence Holders across Europe.

EQUASS Excellence audit will continue to be offered exclusively through the main office in Brussels.

 

Recognising Commitment to Quality

Under the 2018 system, applicants to EQUASS Assurance or EQUASS Excellence that fail to meet the scoring threshold for quality recognition, but whose efforts and scores reflect a commitment to Quality are awarded either:

Committed to Assurance (for Applicants to the EQUASS Assurance quality mark)

Committed to Excellence (for Applicants to the EQUASS Assurance quality mark)
