Since year 2006, Institute Ruj, Velenje is selected concessionaire of the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs in the area of employment services/vocational rehabilitation services, upon request from the Employment Service of Slovenia, the Institute for Pension and Disability Insurance and individual companies.
The objective of vocational rehabilitation is to improve employment opportunities for people with disabilities: Enable a disabled person for the relevant work to retain employment and advance or modify his professional career. Since 2006, the Institute of Ruj, Velenje is a concessionaire of the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs for the implementation of project social inclusion. The program of social inclusion was started to help people with disabilities to support and improve their working skills. The program includes persons with a decision of unemployability of the Employment Service of Slovenia. Also the program is a supplement to other organized social protection activities to address the psychological and social distress of persons with disabilities, to assist them in raising and maintaining motivation, teaches them the ways of participation in society and helps them to raise self confidence.
