Casa de Saúde Nossa Senhora da Conceição (CSNSC) is located on the island of S. Miguel in the Autonomous Region of the Azores and is one of the 12 care centers belonging to the Institute of the Hospitaller Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a Private Institution of Social Solidarity (IPSS) in the health area. It was founded on December 8, 1973.
The mission is to provide health care in the field of mental health and psychiatry, according to a model of comprehensive and dynamic care of the person that encompasses the biopsychosocial, spiritual, ethical and relational dimensions, in a perspective of respect for the fundamental rights of the sick person. It develops a care activity, in the scope of prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and social reintegration in the field of psychogeriatry, psychiatry and mental disability, taking into account the needs and urgencies of each time and place, with preference for the most marginalized.
It conducts its activity in harmony with the Values of the Institute of the Hospitaller Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus: Service to the sick and needy; Sensitivity to the excluded; Liberating hosting; Integral health; Professional quality; Humanity in attention; Ethics in all performance and historical consciousness.
A Casa de Saúde N.ª S.ª da Conceição (CSNSC) situa-se na ilha de S. Miguel na Região Autónoma dos Açores, e é um dos 12 Centros Assistenciais pertencentes ao Instituto das Irmãs Hospitaleiras de Sagrado Coração de Jesus, uma Instituição Particular de Solidariedade Social (IPSS). Foi fundada a 8 de Dezembro de 1973 e tem como missão a prestação de cuidados de saúde no âmbito da saúde mental e psiquiatria, segundo um modelo de assistência integral e dinâmico da pessoa que engloba as dimensões biopsicossociais, espirituais, éticas e relacionais, numa perspetiva humana e com máximo respeito pelos direitos fundamentais da pessoa doente.
Desenvolve uma atividade assistencial, que compreende desde a prevenção, ao tratamento, reabilitação e reintegração social no âmbito da psicogeriatria, psiquiatria e deficiência mental, tendo em conta as necessidades e urgências de cada tempo e lugar, com preferência pelos mais marginalizados. Conduz a sua atividade em sintonia com os Valores do Instituto das Irmãs Hospitaleiras do Sagrado Coração de Jesus: No Serviço aos doentes e necessitados; Sensibilidade para com os excluídos; Acolhimento libertador; Saúde integral; Qualidade profissional; Humanidade na atenção; Ética em toda a atuação; e Consciência histórica.
