The budgetary institution social centre for people with disabilities “Klaipėdos lakštutė” have been providing social services since 1999. The Centre's mission is to provide high-quality social services for disabled adults and the elderly, focussing on empowerment and social inclusion. The aim of the Centre is to increase the ability of disabled adults and the elderly to live in dignified conditions by enabling and providing social services.The main purpose of the centre is to help people from ages 18 and above, with mental behavioural and disorders, integrate to society, improve their quality of life and develop the skills of their everyday life and work.
A broad range of services are provided in 3 departments of the institution. These social services are provided: general (information, consulting and mediation) and special (assistance at home, day social care at the institution, day social care at person’s home). On average, social services are provided for 170 clients at the institution. When providing social services, various working methods are applied:
-Case method: when providing services for the working-age persons with intellectual/mental disorders, in order to integrate them to society, labour market, rehabilitation, providing socio-cultural services in order to effectively solve the employment issues;
-Therapeutic working methods: movement therapy (of the physical body, emotions, training of mental self-medication, while moving to the rhythm of the music), sand and dog therapy;
-Individual work with the receivers of the services: when providing the services, individual programmes are prepared:
-Universal design (colours, lines, symbols) where we seek to adapt the same thing in use to the individual needs of the disabled, so that the people with severe disability could have the opportunity to use the thing easily and clearly and be environmentally orientated;
-Alternative augmentative communication. The institution uses innovative technologies and alternative communication programs adapted to each disability.
Biudžetinė įstaiga Socialinių paslaugų centras „Klaipėdos lakštutė“ teikia socialines paslaugas nuo 1999 m. Centro misija – teikti kokybiškas socialines paslaugas suaugusiems asmenims su negalia bei senyvo amžiaus asmenims orientuotas į įgalinimą ir socialinę įtrauktį..Centro tikslas – didinti suaugusių asmenų su negalia bei senyvo amžiaus asmenų galimybę gyventi orumo nežeminančiomis sąlygomis, įgalinant ir teikiant socialines paslaugas.Įstaigoje teikiamos plataus spektro socialinės paslaugos 3 padaliniuose. Teikiamos šios socialinės paslaugos: bendrosios (informavimas, konsultavimas, tarpininkavimas) ir specialiosios (pagalba į namus, dienos socialinė globa institucijoje, dienos socialinė globa asmens namuose). Vidutiniškai įstaigoje socialinės paslaugos teikiamos 170 klientų.
Teikiant socialines paslaugas taikomi įvairūs darbo metodai:
- atvejo metodas: teikiant paslaugas darbingo amžiaus asmenims, turintiems proto/psichikos negalią, siekiant jų socialinės integracijos į bendruomenę, darbo rinką, reabilitaciją, teikiant sociokultūrines paslaugas siekiant efektyviau spręsti užimtumo problemas;
- terapiniai darbo metodai: judesio terapija (fizinio kūno, emocijų, psichikos savigydos treniruotė, judant muzikos ritmu), smėlio ir kaniterapijos;
- individualizuotas darbas su paslaugų gavėjais: teikiant paslaugas rengiamos individualios programos;
- universalus dizainas (spalvos, linijos, simboliai). Kuriuo siekiame tą patį naudojamą dalyką pritaikyti pagal individualius neįgaliųjų poreikius, kad būtų suteikta galimybė sunkią negalią turintiems asmenims lengvai suprantamai naudotis daiktu, orientuotis aplinkoje;- alternatyvi augmentinė komunikacija. Įstaigoje naudojamos inovatyvios technologijos ir alternatyviosios komunikacijos programos, pritaikomos, pagal kiekvieną negalią.
