Joniškis Centre for Social Services and Employment is a public institution established on 15 June 2004. The founder of the Centre is the Lithuanian Association for Accessibility of the environment for persons with disabilities, a shareholder of the Centre is the municipality of Joniškis district. The aim of the Centre is to enable members of the community to live in their own while maintaining their independence and dignity. The main activity of the Centre is the provision of non-hospital social services to the residents of the municipality of Joniškis district. Public Institution Joniškis Centre for Social Services and Employment provides general social (information, counselling, mediation, special transport, provision of technical aids, social rehabilitation services for the disabled, etc.) and special services: social care (home support, temporary overnight stay and accommodation) and social patronage (social day care at a person‘s home). The Centre offers physiotherapy and massage services. All services are provided in accordance with approved procedures, taking into account the needs of individuals. The institution cooperates with district wards, district municipality, medical institutions, the Police Commissariat, the Employment Service, non-governmental organizations, educational institutions, municipalities of other districts, social service centres and other institutions.
Joniškio socialinių paslaugų ir užimtumo centras yra viešoji įstaiga, įkurta 2004 m. birželio mėn. 15 d. Centro steigėjas yra Lietuvos žmonių su negalia aplinkos pritaikymo asociacija, Centro dalininkė – Joniškio rajono savivaldybė. Centro tikslas – sudaryti sąlygas bendruomenės nariams gyventi savo aplinkoje, išlaikant jų savarankiškumą ir orumą. Pagrindinė Centro veikla – nestacionarių socialinių paslaugų teikimas Joniškio rajono savivaldybės gyventojams. VšĮ Joniškio socialinių paslaugų ir užimtumo centras teikia bendrąsias socialines paslaugas (informavimas, konsultavimas, tarpininkavimas, specialiojo transporto, aprūpinimas techninėmis pagalbos priemonėmis, socialinės reabilitacijos paslaugos neįgaliesiems ir kt.) ir specialiąsias paslaugas: socialinės priežiūros paslaugas (pagalba namuose, laikinas apnakvindinimas ir apgyvendinimas) ir socialinės globos (dienos socialinė globa asmens namuose). Centre teikiamos kineziterapijos ir masažo paslaugos. Visos paslaugos yra teikiamos pagal patvirtintas tvarkas, atsižvelgiant į kiekvieno asmens poreikį. Įstaiga bendradarbiauja su rajono seniūnijomis, rajono savivaldybe, gydymo įstaigomis, Policijos komisariatu, Užimtumo tarnyba, nevyriausybinėmis organizacijomis, mokymo, ugdymo įstaigomis, kitų rajonų savivaldybėmis, socialinių paslaugų centrais bei kt. įstaigomis.
